Open Partnership research projects

On 14 September, 2015 Research Council of Lithuania (RCL) launched a new call for proposals under “Open Partnership  research projects” scheme that provides Lithuanian researchers an opportunity to conduct research projects with researchers around the world who reside in a country that has diplomatic relations with Lithuania (except Switzerland and Japan).

Details of the call for proposals:

  • Budget of the call is 800.000 EUR.
  • Call for proposals is open to all scientific domains.
  • Applicants from Lithuania should refer to the call text published on RCL website.
  • Eligible applicants in Lithuania are Lithuanian research and education institutions included into the Register of Education and Research institutions.
  • Applicants from Lithuania should have a research partner organization from a foreign country.
  • RCL provides financial support to Lithuanian institutions implementing joint research projects between research teams from Lithuania and foreign countries.
  • Research institutions from foreign countries are encouraged to secure funding from sources in their own countries.
  • Starting date of research projects should be in the period between 1st April 2016 to 1st July 2016.
  • Duration of a research project should be from 2 to 3 years.
  • The budget of Lithuanian institution in a research project should not exceed 100.000 EUR.
  • Proposals in Lithuania shall be submitted via RCL electronic proposal submission system till 15 December, 2015 (17:00 Lithuanian local time).
