2017 05 18  The Application submission for funding of high level RTD projects is temporarily suspended due to oncoming amendments of the Guidelines

Research Council of Lithuania has temporarily suspended the Application submission of the first call for proposals for project funding under the measure No 09.3.3-LMT-K-712 „Strengthening the Skills and Capacities of Public Sector Researchers for Engaging in High Level R&D Activities“ activity „Strengthening of General Skills and Competences of Researchers Through Implementation of High Level R&D Projects“ of the Operational programme for the European Union funds’ investments in 2014–2020. The Application submission has been suspended on 15th of May, 2017 by the instruction of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania.

The Application submission is suspended until oncoming amendments of the Guidelines will be approved by Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania. This process should take no longer than until 25th of May, 2017. Afterwards, the Application submission will be renewed for the period no less than 30 days.

The oncoming amendments of the Guidelines shall be as follows:

  1. The requirements for young and experienced project leaders shall be detailed in the way that the exception of periods of the pregnancy and maternity leave, paternity leave or the child care leave until the child reaches the age of three years will be applicable not only for differentiation of young and experienced researchers, but also for the evaluation of research publications: in cases when the project leader (young or experienced researcher) has been on pregnancy and maternity leave, paternity leave or the child care leave until the child reaches the age of three years, the term of the eligibility of research publications shall be respectively extended.
  2. Taking into consideration the administrative burden and considering other research funding programs administered by Research Council of Lithuania, the Guidelines shall include the requirement to produce the list of the most important research journals and other scientific production in its original language.

The date of renewed Application Submission as well as any other information concerning  Calls for Applicants will be announced at the website of Research Council of Lithuania and at the website of the EU structural funds.
